Setup
Local Windows start-up
- Use Windows 10 or newer and install Node.js 22.13 or newer.
- Download and extract the buyer ZIP. Do not run it inside the compressed-folder preview.
- Double-click
START_APP.cmd. Nonpm installor development tooling is needed. - Open
http://localhost:8840if the browser does not open automatically. - Name the organisation, owner, scope, and review date; then choose Quick or Guided mode.
- Export HTML or JSON when a portable record is needed. Exports are unencrypted.

- Five evidence-aware statuses: User confirmed, Partly in place, Action required, Needs verification, and Not applicable.
- Evidence type, notes, action owner, due date, completion marker, and verification timestamp for each check.
- Priority-ordered action view for partial, missing, or explicitly recorded follow-up work.
- AI-use and data-sharing register plus technology-supplier register.
- Local browser storage, strict JSON import validation, HTML report export, and JSON backup/export.
Privacy and operation
Local-first by design
- No Aldermere Systems backend, account, customer database, or telemetry.
- No AI API or supplied API key. Assessment content is not sent to an AI service by this product.
- No internet connection is required for normal use after Node.js is available.
- No system, device, cloud account, network, or supplier scanning.
- No automatic setting changes, remediation, repair, or background agent.
- Assessment data remains in local browser storage unless the user exports it. Users control where exported files are stored and shared.
